fib is pleased to announce a signficant increase in the number of technical papers published in the Structural Concrete journal in 2013 and 2014, at no additional charge to fib members. In 2013 there was an average of nine papers per issue, which is three more per issue than in 2012. In 2014, there are 10 articles in the March issue and 14 articles in the June issue.

The June 2014 issue of the Structural Concrete Journal is now available to fib members via the Wiley Online Library. The June issue of fib-news presents the new structure of fib's Commissions and Task Groups that will be implemented as of January 2015. It also reports on the International Workshop on Concrete Sustainability held in honour of Koji Sakai's retirement, the ACI Spring Convention attended by fib President Gordon Clark and Immediate Past President György L. Balazs, a durability seminar in Portugal organised by fib Commission 5, as well as awards and honours recently bestowed on fib members.
The Concrete Centre and fibUK are partnering for a conference on the structural design of tall buildings using concrete, taking place in London on 23 October 2014. The event will feature the latest best practice on building dynamics, design, process, wind load, seismic loads as well as consideration for the design team such as lifts, cladding, services, foundations, structural systems and buildability. The conference dinner on Wednesday 22 October will provide a unique networking opportunities for delegates and speakers.
