Mentoring programme
The fib is committed to helping young engineers, researchers, and engineering students take ownership of their careers. In addition to its other initiatives — such as the fib PhD Symposia, the fib Conceptual Design Symposia, the Achievement Award for Young Engineers, student competitions, discounted registration for fib events, and the YMG initiative — the fib recognises the value of organising and hosting a mentoring programme.
The objectives of this programme are to guide and support young engineers, enable experienced engineers to share their knowledge, and foster international and intergenerational exchanges. The work also aims to encourage networking opportunities and motivate young engineers to join the fib and eventually share their own expertise with others.
