fib Retrospective 2025
The fib sends warm season’s greetings and best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year!

We would like to thank you for being an integral part of the fib journey in 2025. The fib thrives because of the dedication, expertise, and active participation of its members, whose voluntary contributions are at the heart of all our achievements. As we reflect on this year, we take a moment to celebrate the milestones reached and the collaborative efforts that have driven our success.
Here’s a retrospective of 2025, highlighting key moments, initiatives, and the collective progress we have made together:
We’ve been busy in 2025, with conferences and projects such as:
- The fib Symposium 2025 was held in Antibes, France.
- The fib Conceptual Design of Concrete Structures 2025 was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
- fibCACRCS was held in Lecco, Italy.
- Five bulletins were issued:
- fib Bulletin 115 BIM in Construction
- fib Bulletin 116 Fibre-reinforced sprayed concrete in tunnels and underground spaces
- fib Bulletin 117 FEM-based approaches for the design of FRC Structures
- fib Bulletin 118 Technology and aesthetics of visual concrete surfaces
- fib Bulletin 119 Sensitivity analysis of the probabilistic service life models for carbonation- and chloride-initiated corrosion given in the fib Model Codes for Concrete Structures
- Six issues of Structural Concrete were published.
- The fib Design & Construction. Concrete Structures 2025 was produced.
- The fib Directory 2025 was distributed.
- Several fib Awards were given in 2025.
- The fib SAG2 on AI & Digitalisation was officially launched.
- The fib signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with RILEM
- The Redbubble shop went live.
Look forward to our 2026 projects:
- fib Congress in Lisbon, Portugal (15-19 June 2026).
- 16th fib PhD Symposium in Vienna, Austria (9-11 September 2026).
- The fib AOS 2026 results will be presented at the fib Congress 2026.
- The fib AAYE 2027 call for candidates will be published.
- New fib publications, including bulletins, Structural Concrete issues, proceedings, Design & Construction, will be issued in 2026.
- Additional fib databases will be made available in 2026.
