The fib supports the  SUMMER SCHOOL 2024 on Fibre reinforced concrete. Material characterization and structure design, which will take place on 5-10 July 2024 in Lecco, Italy.

The course covers the following themes: - Fibre Reinforced Concrete materials and properties at fresh and hardened states - Mechanical characterization and classification of Fibre Reinforced Materials - Constitutive models for design - Creep of FRC, Fiber Reinforced shotcrete and UHPFRC for architectural design - Structure design approach according to Model Code 2010 - FRC made with natural fibers, structural applications and sustainability - Properties of ultra high performance concrete and their characterization - Modeling and reliability - SFRC advantages in design of structural elements interacting with soils - SLS behaviour of fibre reinforced concrete structures - Design of advanced architecture and examples of applications The course is an opportunity for all Ph.D. students who are researching this field: to allow a successful transfer of knowledge, a mix of several national and international experts will participate.
