fib Workshop – Definition of Durability Indicators
Join us for the next fib Workshop on "Definition of Durability Indicators", which will take place on 25 October 2022 at 2 PM.
One of the objectives of fib WG 8.9 “Deterioration processes” consists in developing further present models for calculating service life, but also to use other approaches not based on modelling. One of the approaches is the use of so-named “durability Indicators”, which is becoming popular from the application of the test ASTM 1202 based on measuring the coulombs registered in a specimen submitted to an electric field. The durability Indicators based on results of the pass-not-pass-test have been taken by several countries and Administrations but without a homogenization of the meaning, the significance and the relation to the period of service life desired. In the present MC 2020, the Indicators have been incorporated as a second level of Approximation for the evaluation of service life in spite of the different approaches behind the concept.
This workshop is intended to discuss the definition of Durability Indicators so as to have a common understanding within the fib community and to incorporate them into the durability characterization of service life in MC2020.
Registration is free, but places are limited. Make sure you register early!
